We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have secured an additional Sewcialising studio space at Clifton Moor in York!
Originally, I was simply looking for a small office space where I could stay on top of admin, organise stock, and carry out the day-to-day behind-the-scenes work that comes with running a fabric shop. However, when I finally found the right place, it turned out to have far more potential than I first imagined.
The space has given me the opportunity to create something really exciting – a dedicated workshop studio. I’ve had so many lovely customers ask about evening and weekend sewing classes over the past couple of years, but up until now it’s been quite difficult to make that work alongside having a young family and everything else involved in running the shop.
Now, with a wonderful team helping me in-store and more support in place, things have become a lot more manageable. The new office is also much closer to home, which makes a huge difference day-to-day and having parking is an added bonus too!
This new space means I can finally start planning properly for workshops, creative sessions, and sewing classes outside of shop hours. It opens up so many exciting possibilities for the future of Sewcialising, and I can’t wait to bring people together to learn, create, and enjoy sewing in a relaxed and inspiring environment.
There is still a bit of work to do before everything is ready, but this feels like a really important step forward, and I’m so excited for what’s to come.
