Hi everyone!
I hope you’re all doing well during these challenging times. Things have been a little busy on my side, but I wanted to create something special for us all to connect.
As social distancing is still in place, I’ve set up a new Sewing Community Facebook group so we can stay connected virtually during this time. As the name Sewcialising suggests, this space is here for us to come together online, share our sewing projects, swap ideas, and enjoy a bit of creativity and inspiration along the way.
This group is open to absolutely everyone, no matter your skill level. From complete beginners just learning how to thread a machine, to experienced sewists with years of projects behind them, you are very welcome here. The idea is to create a friendly, supportive space where we can all learn from each other, feel inspired, and celebrate our love of making.
I’d also love to open the group up beyond sewing to include all kinds of crafts, including knitting, crochet, embroidery, and other needlecrafts. The more creativity the better, and it would be wonderful to see a real mix of handmade projects and skills coming together in one place.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing sewing projects, dressmaking ideas, and patchwork inspiration to hopefully spark a few ideas and keep us all creating at home.
I would genuinely love to see what everyone is making, so please do share your finished projects, works in progress, and creative ideas. It would be especially wonderful to see anything made using fabrics, kits, or products from Sewcialising – it’s always such a joy to see what you create with them!
If you’d like to join in, please introduce yourself and share what you’re working on. Everyone is very welcome, and there’s no such thing as “too simple” or “too advanced” here, just a shared love of making.
I’m really looking forward to building a warm, encouraging creative community together and seeing it grow into something really special ✂️
